As both a KPA-CTP and CPDT-KA, Yasmin has demonstrated her technical and theoretical knowledge to the highest degree. Both organizations require rigorous studying and testing in order to pass a certification exam which confirms her understanding of learning theory and dog behavior. Yasmin strongly believes that dog trainers should be certified in order to ethically provide clients with the training and behavior support they need.

No, it is impossible and unethical to provide a 100% guarantee on future behavior. There are several factors affecting behavior that are beyond the scope of our control including but not limited to: prenatal environment, age, health, and genetics. A competent, ethical, and knowledgeable behavior professional should never guarantee results.
The answer is a resounding YES! Your dog will be a member of your household for the next 10+ years. Teaching them the behaviors you find important will ensure that they’re a joy to live with. Early intervention is key – don’t live with nuisance behaviors before you reach out to a professional, the sooner you seek help, the less you’ll pay in the long run!

It depends. We believe that our Board & Train program is most suitable for puppies ages 10 weeks to 5 months. Adolescent or adult dogs may have already developed certain behaviors that are best solved in your home. We would also never want to take in a dog who struggles with extreme anxiety or aggression as being in a new environment could potentially exacerbate the issue.
